Reunion Frequently Asked Questions
When do the activities formally begin?
Friday, May 27, but there is an unofficial bar party on Thursday the 26th for those who arrive earlier and are here for Commencement, which is that day. A full schedule will come soon, but the general framework is the following: Friday night party, Saturday BBQ, Saturday evening dinner and soiree, Sunday brunch. Formal events finish up midday on Sunday, May 29.
How do I sign up-and when?
Registration opens in March and will remain open until mid-May.
What do I need to know about on-campus housing?
When registering for the reunion events you will also have the option to register for on-campus housing. The 5th Reunion will be housed in the River Houses this year. When signing-up you will have the chance to indicate which friends you would like to room with as well as those you would like to be housed near. All the easier to stumble to a former classmate's room after the soiree, right? It's like the housing lottery all over again!
Am I guaranteed housing?
If you register prior to the May 13th Housing Registration Deadline, you will be guaranteed a bed! Sheets, pillow, a blanket, towel and soap are included in your registration. Pricing has not yet been set for 2011 Reunions Housing, but last year the charge was $80 per bed, per night.
Can I choose which events to go to, or do I need to attend everything?
You may pick and choose which events you'd like to attend. There is a slight discount, though, if you buy a full package that grants you entry to all 5th Reunion events.
When I arrive on campus, where do I check in for housing and the events?
Junior Reunion (meaning the young folks) Housing Headquarters will be located underneath a tent in the Mac Quad where you can pick up your room keys for the weekend. There will be a registration desk at each individual event, where you will be able to pick up your name badge and registration information. Once you've checked in at first event you attend, you will have all that you need for the weekend.
Where do I park?
Complimentary parking is available at the Harvard Business School Parking lot. You can sign up for a parking pass when you register for the reunion and they will be emailed to you the week before you arrive on campus.
How much will it cost?
The budget is still being worked out-you will know as soon as we do.
For a reference point, though, last year's 5th Reunion event pricing was $220 for a full package (meaning including tickets to all events) for those who registered prior to May 1, and $235 for those who registered after or on-site. It may sound pricey, but the comparable cost for a hotel in the Square would be must much higher given that it's Commencement weekend. All the events have open bar, lots and lots of food, good music, etc. We'll do our best to keep the ticket prices as low as possible. The class breaks even on the 5th Reunion, so no money is being made. If we miraculously turn a little profit, it'll go into planning Harvard-Yale tailgates for the class and the like. E-mail the reunion co-chairs with any further questions.

What do I wear?
All events are casual except for the Saturday Night Cocktail Party & Buffet Dinner. For this Saturday evening event, we recommend "cocktail attire." Please remember that the end of May in Cambridge can be chilly and/or rainy and pack accordingly. Don't leave home without your raingear and a sweater or a jacket!
